Welcome

For anyone interested in becoming a member of table tennis association Veldhoven, we have listed the most important information below. You already know how much fun it is to play table tennis. Where better to do that than at our friendly association? Read on this page about the possibilities, playing times and events that we organize. TTV Veldhoven is an association for young and old, fanatical or relaxed, but above all for all sports enthusiasts who want to keep moving.

The association

Table tennis association TTVVeldhoven was officially founded on November 13, 1975 to make it possible to practice table tennis in Veldhoven. In 2026 we will have more then 200 members, making us one of the 10 largest associations in the Netherlands. The youngest are six or seven years old, but there are also members over the age of seventy who enjoy a vigorous game of table tennis every week. There is room in our association for both recreational and performance-oriented players. We are the only table tennis association in Veldhoven and are affiliated with the Dutch Table Tennis Association. TTV Veldhoven is an association with a very broad base of recreational, regional and national level competition players. We currently have 16 senior teams (NTTB), 8 youth teams (NTTB) and 2 senior teams (TLE). In addition to table tennis, the association also has a social life to offer. We have a beautiful sports hall and an attractive meeting room.

Various committees, together with the board and many volunteers, are busy organizing both table tennis-oriented and social activities. This is how we know the N.T.T.B. and T.L.E. competition, the club championships, the veterans tournament and the always busy oliebollen tournament. The association also regularly organizes other activities such as a quiz evening, a bingo evening, a family day and the New Year's drink. Every year we try to organize a fun activity for the youth. Many members have found friends here and enjoy spending their free time at the club.

Table tennis room

Since May 31, 1986, the association plays in a spacious accommodation, specifically intended for table tennis, on the Burg. van Hoofflaan 147 in Veldhoven. This "table tennis palace" has been realized by the members in collaboration with the Municipality of Veldhoven. We take great pride and care in our accommodation. We also expect you as a new member to treat the playroom with care. Downstairs is a sports hall of 30 by 12 meters, where a dozen tables can easily be set up. There are changing rooms and toilets, also for the disabled. Upstairs is a cozy meeting room with bar and tables. We also have a stair lift. The windows allow players to be admired from above!

Training groups and playing times

In principle, each member is assigned to a training group. Whether you want to play matches in a competitive context is up to you. If not, you can participate in the recreational group. Those who do want to play competition will be placed in a team by the Technical Committee. The youth selections and competition groups are trained once or several times a week by qualified table tennis instructors.

TTV Veldhoven also has a daytime group that is suitable for members who want and can play table tennis in the morning. Youth members are always assigned to a group according to their abilities, aptitudes and personal preference. Starting adults are placed in the recreational group from where they can progress to another group. Advanced new members can discuss which group is most suitable in consultation with the Technical Committee

Clothing and materials

The club colors of TTV Veldhoven are black and red. This can be seen on the facade, the club magazine and even on the benches in the games room. A shirt and possibly pants are chosen in consultation with shirt sponsors. The club shirt is available at a reduced price, trousers and possibly an extra shirt is available for competition players at purchase price. Table tennis bats must be purchased by the members themselves. The trainer does have tips. We especially recommend beginners to make use of this so that they do not quickly buy a table tennis bat with rubbers that are too difficult and too expensive. Special beginner bats are available for beginners (directly in stock). Wearing street shoes and black-soled sports shoes is not allowed in the gym. You can order table tennis equipment via the club (20% discount) by sending an email  Our supplier of table tennis equipment is Posno-Sport.

Information Channels

TTV Veldhoven has statutes and internal regulations. Every member is expected to know the content. Once a year, the board accounts for its policy at a general meeting of members. It is expected that every member or parent is present. The contribution is also determined at this meeting.

Our club magazine Toffelpraot is published five times a year. In addition to fun facts and stories, it also contains official board announcements. You will find the latest information on our website. You should also be here for links to the NTTB and other table tennis matters.

Finally, we recommend that you keep a close eye on the bulletin boards in the games room and in the canteen. For example, to see what the events committee has now put up a registration list for…

Volunteers

Like every association, TTV Veldhoven cannot do without the help of volunteers. In fact, all tasks, with the exception of the trainer tasks, are done by volunteers. Various committees have been created, such as the technical committee, the events committee and the accommodation management committee, in order to keep the association manageable. If you want to contribute, you are more than welcome. Think of coaching, running bar services, transporting youth members to tournaments, making a club magazine, managing a website, organizing events, looking for sponsors, becoming a board member, you name it. One-off hand and span services are also very much appreciated!

Once a year, TTV Veldhoven offers its volunteers a party evening to thank them for all their efforts.
